Small, well established Financial Services firm looking for an experienced, proactive administrator. Based on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, easily commutable from the A5, with free, onsite parking, hours can be flexible based on circumstances but expected 30hr per week as a minimum (split over 4-5 days). Salary c25-27k pro rata. 28 days holiday pro rata (including bank hols and Xmas closure)
The role involves managing financial data and preparing reports for the mortgage and pension administration function, gathering information and communicating with both clients and providers both by telephone and email. Full support to two advisers and internal administration duties also.
The ideal candidate should have excellent administration experience , good IT skills and be a professional and confident communicator. Experience in financial services or sales support would be helpful (but not essential as training will be provided), as will a degree of numerical accuracy.
Duties:
Mortgage processing - information gathering, drafting reports, updating online and paper files, liaising with advisers, clients and providers, handling underwriting queries, case progression post offer to completion
Pension processing - drafting letters of authority, obtaining information from providers, preparing adviser files for review
Equity Release / Protection - general administration duties as arise
General office administration - file completion, renewal diaries etc.
Qualifications
Proven experience in an administrative or finance-related role, ideally within financial services
Strong report writing and analysis skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of financial planning concepts is desirable
Organised with exceptional time management abilities
Customer service experience is advantageous
Good understanding of IT systems relevant to finance operations
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Demonstrated organisational skills with attention to detail
This role is suitable for proactive individuals, capable of prioritising work on a day to day basis and with strong communication skills.
