Overview

We are looking to employ an experienced finishing carpenter to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in finishing works, such as fitting kitchens, window and general timber repairs, skirtings and architraves, hanging doors etc.

As a company, we works on a variety of projects including residential, commercial and education settings.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects. The ability to self snag, work on your own initiative and deliver a high standard is essential.

Responsibilities

Fabricate components with precision to ensure seamless integration into existing structures Perform joinery tasks including fitting doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, and cabinetry Installation of Kitchens, including worktops Occassionally assisting with roofing tasks as needed, ensuring proper installation. Carry out heavy lifting of materials and components safely and efficiently Support plumbing, masonry, and electrical tasks when necessary to coordinate with overall project requirements Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency Collaborate closely with project managers, other tradespeople, and clients to ensure timely completion of tasks

Experience

Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in a similar carpentry role within the construction industry Demonstrable skills in fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom woodwork and fixtures Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, saws, hammers, and levels; experience with power tools including drills, sanders, and saws Knowledge of roofing techniques, heavy lifting procedures, plumbing basics, masonry work, and electrical experience is advantageous Strong understanding of safety standards and building codes relevant to finish carpentry projects Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
