Finishing Operative

Monday to Thursday - 0745-1645, Friday 0745-1200

Tritech Group are manufacturing experts and suppliers of precision products to global Aerospace & Defence industry giants and to support our rapid growth we are recruiting for a range of positions across our UK facilities.

The role of the Finishing Operative covers a wide range of areas within the department.

The employee will willingly undertake, upon request, any other task they are able to perform. Elements of the role may vary as new technology, procedures and equipment are introduced.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and removing imperfections from castings Using calibrated measuring equipment Using bandsaws, water blasters and sand blasters as part of the Finishing process. General and visual inspection Reading and understanding specifications and standards General and cosmetic tidy up of castings using air powered and electric tools. General duties within the Finishing Department.

Person Specification

Excellent attendance and time keeping. A willingness to learn new skills. Dedicated and motivated individual. A loyal and likeable character who shows honesty and integrity. You must be flexible in your approach to working hours, as from time to time you may be required to work shifts which may include night shifts. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to follow technical instructions and work to specifications Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks Awareness of health & safety procedures in an industrial setting

Experience

Manufacturing or process experience Experience using linishing/grinding tools (preferred but not essential) Previous work in metal finishing or manufacturing is advantageous Training can be provided for the right candidate with the right attitude
Salary: 12.91PH

Pension: 5% min personal contribution, Company contribution of 3%

Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 BH Pro-rata

Life Insurance: 2 x annual salary Death in Service
