Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual who would like to join a progressing company. This role is based within an established Production department; therefore, a strong team player attitude is essential.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills



Assembly experience preferable FLT license preferable but not essential Driving License preferable but not essential Maths and English GCSE grade 4/5 (equivalent grade C equivalent) is preferable but not essential

Summary of Job:



To ensure goods are cleaned, painted, oiled, fitted with the correct screen/basket, assembled, and made ready for final inspection On completion of final inspection, to ensure goods are suitable packed, labelled, marked, and made ready for despatch To undertake general duties, as and when required

Staff relationship:



Directly responsible to the Charge hand - Assembly and Packing for day-to-day duties Functionally responsible to the Works Manager/Production Planning Manager Liaises with all internal departments, as appropriate Has proactive involvement with internal and external quality audits

Duties and responsibilities:



Shall be fully committed to the achievement of the company policies and objectives with attention to quality and safety To ensure goods are to an acceptable standard in terms of being substantially free from swarf, deburred, etc. prior to finishing operations To ensure that goods are cleaned, painted, oiled, fitted with the correct screen/basket, assembled, and made ready for final inspection On completion of final inspection, to ensure goods are suitably packed, labelled, marked, and made ready for despatch Responsible for in house "touch up" painting activities Responsible for the maintenance and good housekeeping of the assembly, packing and despatch areas To make recommendations, as appropriate, for improvements to existing working practices Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to duties, which may be required from time to time Shall undertake reasonable instructions and tasks from senior personnel, commensurate with the nature of the job and in the best interests of the company

Hours of work



Works hours enable flexi-time working, covering a 40-hour week. Flexible start and finish times are available with core hours which must be covered each day. Monday to Thursday covers an 8.5-hour shift with half an hour lunch break and Friday covers a 6-hour shift with no lunch break. You are also entitled to a paid break per day, further details will be given at interview stage.
