The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Fire Alarm Engineer

to carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems in accordance with

BS 5839

standards. The ideal candidate will also bring experience in other life safety and security disciplines -- such as

Dry Risers, Sprinkler Systems,

Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Emergency Lighting & Fire Extinguishers,

-- which would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, service, and maintain fire alarm systems to

BS 5839

standards. Conduct fault finding, repairs, and testing on a range of fire detection and life safety systems. Assist with installation, maintenance, and inspection of other systems, including Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers, Dry Risers, and Sprinklers. Complete accurate reports, certificates, and service documentation. Ensure compliance with industry standards and company procedures. Participate in the company's out-of-hours callout rota as required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer. Sound understanding and working knowledge of

BS 5839

. Experience with additional systems such as Intruder, Access Control, CCTV, Emergency Lighting, Fire Extinguishers, Dry Risers, or Sprinklers is highly desirable. Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided). Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. ECS card, FIA training, or relevant certification advantageous.
