Fire Alarm Commissioning Engineer - covering Midlands/North Region

While our operational resources are primarily based around London, we proudly offer national coverage through our reactive delivery model.

Morgan Fire Protection's Fire Alarm Engineer's




We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team, responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across a wide range of sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret wiring schematics and drawings, and proven experience in fault-finding and diagnostics. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance, safety, and high-quality service delivery for our customers, while also providing guidance on small to medium installation projects.

Maintain, service, and commission fire alarm and emergency lighting systems across a variety of platforms and customer locations Carry out fire alarm installations to a high professional standard Commission fire alarm systems, with a focus on Advanced and Kentec platforms Plan and deliver both routine maintenance visits and demand call-outs within your designated area Interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics with accuracy and efficiency Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic activities to resolve system issues Lead small to medium-scale installation projects, providing technical guidance and support to the installation team

For this specific opportunity, we are looking for candidates who offer:

Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, with a strong background in installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems Ability to work confidently from technical drawings and complete all associated documentation accurately Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations, including BS7671:2018, BS5839-1:2017, and BS5839-6:2019 Commitment to delivering a first-class customer service at all times Essential experience in electrical work, either as a qualified electrician or with a solid understanding of electrical systems Physically capable of carrying out tasks within a demanding environment Willingness to support colleagues, contribute to team development, and assist in training and upskilling initiatives Flexibility to travel as required - this is a national role which may involve occasional UK-wide travel (with the aim of becoming regional in the future) Full, clean UK driving licence (essential) Relevant certificates of competency

FIA units 1-5 or equivalent 18th edition
