About the Role



We are seeking a skilled

Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Engineer

to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of fire detection and suppression systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities



Install, service, and maintain

fire alarm systems

,

gas suppression systems

, and other fire protection equipment. Carry out

fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs

on a wide range of fire safety systems. Commission new installations in accordance with relevant standards (BS 5839, BS 5306, etc.). Prepare accurate service reports, maintenance records, and documentation. Ensure all work meets industry regulations, company standards, and health & safety requirements. Provide professional on-site customer support and technical guidance. Participate in the on-call rota for emergency callouts (where applicable).

Requirements



Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer, Fire Suppression Engineer, or similar role. Strong understanding of

fire alarm panels

, detectors, wiring systems, suppression cylinders, control panels, and release systems. Knowledge of relevant regulations and British Standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS EN 15004, BS 5306). Ability to read technical drawings and interpret system schematics. Valid UK driving licence (or regional equivalent). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Desirable Qualifications



FIA qualifications. Experience with multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers (e.g., Kentec, Advanced, C-tec etc). Certification in gas suppression systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230, Inergen). CSCS/ECS card. Additional skills in emergency lighting or security systems.
Hours of work: - 40 hours plus overtime when permitted/required. Included in the package:
