Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced

Fire alarm Engineer

to support our expanding contracts portfolio.

Role Summary



This is a hands-on, field-based role working across structured contracts, reactive works, and small installations. You will be responsible for maintaining critical life-safety systems to the highest compliance standards while representing Fire Safety Direct professionally on client sites.

This role is ideal for a dependable, technically strong engineer who takes pride in quality workmanship and legislative compliance.

Key Responsibilities



Service and maintain: Fire alarm systems CCTV systems (training can be provided) Access control systems (training can be provided) Intruder alarms (training can be provided) Deliver schedules across commercial, industrial, retail, and public-sector sites. Diagnose faults and attend reactive callouts efficiently. Ensure all works comply with

BAFE SP203-1

, British Standards, and client specifications. Complete accurate job sheets, service reports, and compliance documentation. Liaise professionally with site managers, facilities teams, and local authority representatives. Maintain safe working practices at all times.

What We're Looking For



Proven experience as a Fire alarm Engineer (servicing and fault-finding). Strong working knowledge of systems such as

Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, C-TEC, Hikvision, Paxton, Texecom

, etc. Solid understanding of

BAFE

, British Standards, and compliance processes. Full UK Driving Licence (essential). ECS/CSCS card, FIA modules, IPAF - desirable but not essential. DBS clearance or willingness to undertake one. Reliable, self?motivated, and committed to delivering high?quality work.
