The Role - Mobile Fire Alarm Engineer
We're looking for a
skilled and motivated Fire Alarm Engineer
to join our growing team.
You'll be responsible for
servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems
across commercial sites, ensuring compliance and safety. This is a mobile role covering London and the South East perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on, varied work and takes pride in doing the job right.
Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair a range of fire alarm systems.
Diagnose faults and carry out corrective work to meet compliance standards.
Complete routine inspections and accurate service reports.
Attend call outs as part of our 1/4 rota.
Deliver excellent customer service and build lasting client relationships.
Stay up to date with BS 5839 and all relevant fire safety standards.
Experience & Skills
Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (mobile or site-based).
Good knowledge of fire detection systems, fault-finding, and commissioning.
Familiarity with BS 5839 and related standards.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Confident working independently across multiple sites.
Full UK driving licence required.
Qualifications
FIA (Fire Industry Association) - BS 5839 modules (essential).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous).
IPAF / PASMA (for working at height) - desirable.
Manufacturer training (e.g.
Advanced, Kentec, Morley, Gent, Apollo
) - an advantage.
