The role we are hiring for is a Fire Alarm Installation Engineer to join our team based in Yorkshire with travel across the country. This role involves installing fire alarm systems, carrying out testing, and completing minor electrical works where competent. Commissioning experience is desirable, but we are also keen to speak with candidates who have strong installation skills and are looking to develop further. The ideal candidate will have experience with fire alarm installations, security systems, and electrical works, along with relevant qualifications. Key responsibilities include cable installation, fault finding and rectification, and site supervision when required. This role includes travel with overnight stays. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential.

We are looking to offer a salary in the range of 30,000 to 40,000 depending on experience. In addition, we will make sure you have everything you need to do your job well. You will receive a company vehicle (with reasonable personal use), along with all the essentials including uniform, PPE, company phone, credit card, laptop, and the key tools for installation and maintenance. When working away from home, all expenses are fully covered including meal allowances, paid hotel accommodation, and the chance to earn extra on top of your salary. On top of that, you will enjoy 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. You will also get your birthday off every year.

Installing fire alarm systems to the highest standards, ensuring all cabling, panel mounting, and setup are completed efficiently Carrying out minor electrical works and containment tasks where competent, ensuring compliance and quality of finish Installing, programming, and maintaining security systems, completing remedial work, and supporting with access control installations Conducting cable installation, testing, fault finding, and rectification while maintaining accurate records and documentation

Can you show experience in some of these areas



Experience in the installation of fire alarm systems with a good understanding of cabling and panel setup Electrically qualified or holding a Level 3 GNVQ or similar in Electrical Installation (City and Guilds), with solid knowledge of wiring and compliance standards Open to working away from home Monday to Friday around 30 percent of the time, with flexibility to support projects across the country Ability to read and understand specifications and drawings, demonstrating problem solving and communication skills
