Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our team, responsible for maintaining fire alarm safety systems across various domestic, commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in system maintenance, fault finding and be up-to-date with current regulations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to life-saving safety measures through innovative engineering solutions.

This job will be covering a good proportion of the South so travelling will be essential, however, work is always where possible, grouped by location each day.

Sites vary from small conventional systems in HMO's to large commercial buildings, like school, office blocks etc.

Duties

Have the knowledge and ability to maintain fire alarm systems to a high standard. Provide a high level of customer service. Select appropriate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for system assembly and maintenance. Have a broad understanding of fire alarm systems, from conventional to addressable. Perform site inspections to verify system integrity, functionality, and compliance with safety standards. Report back to the office daily where require with updates and reports.

Skills

Strong expertise in system mainrtenance for fire protection systems. Proficiency in general IT software for job reporting, emails etc. Mechanical knowledge relevant to fire safety systems and their components. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for maintenance and small repair tasks. Ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation accurately. Electrical experience related to wiring, circuit design, and control systems within fire protection systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Strong organisational abilities coupled with effective communication skills. Pay: 32,000.00-40,000.00 per year
