Fire Alarm Engineer

The Role

Working as a Fire Alarm Engineer, you'll carry out routine maintenance, repairs and installation on Fire Alarms systems both Commercial and Domestic, ensuring the properties are safe and compliant in the Cardiff region.

Your duties will include:

Install, maintain, and commission fire detection systems in line with BS 5839.

Fault-find, test, and carry out remedial works on a wide range of systems.

Complete accurate documentation and reports for all works undertaken.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and health and safety standards.

Provide excellent customer service, including on-site support and technical advice

Liaise with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site to ensure smooth project delivery.

You will also have:

Proven experience in fire system installation and maintenance.

Full UK driving licence.

ECS/CSCS card or equivalent.

FIA or equivalent fire alarm training certificates.

IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant site qualifications.

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

General electrical experience

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Multi skilled engineer with some plumbing experience would be beneficial not imperative.

The Package

Salary up to 45,000 depending on experience

Working Monday-Friday 45 hours per week, Door to Door Travel paid at normal time

Opportunities for additional overtime paid at time and a half / double time

Permanent contract

Company van and fuel card and test equipment provided for business use

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
