Emtec Fire Systems are a specialist contractor operating within the fire and security sector. We design, install, commission, and maintain a wide range of fire and security systems for clients across the UK. As our team continues to grow, we're looking to add an experienced

Fire & Security Engineer

to support our operations in

Edinburgh

and surrounding areas.

The Role




As a key member of our field-based engineering team, you'll be responsible for the installation repair and maintenance of fire and security systems, along with maintenance and fault finding on existing setups. This is a mobile role with a company van provided, and while you'll be primarily based in Edinburgh, there will be travel to Dundee and other sites.

Key Responsibilities:



Installation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control and CCTV systems. Deliver high standards of customer service and workmanship across all tasks. Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, health & safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Complete all job-related paperwork accurately and on time. Maintain a safe working environment and follow all site-specific safety procedures. Take part in the on-call rota as required.

What We're Looking For:



Proven experience working with fire and security systems in a similar role. Strong technical knowledge across Intruder, Fire, CCTV, and Access Control systems. Knowledge of networks and I.P systems would be a big plus. Sound understanding of fire safety legislation and industry best practices. Well-organised with good attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a professional approach to customer service. Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team. A full UK driving licence is essential.
