MULTI DISCIPLINED ENGINEER - Intruder, Fire, CCTV and Access Control

About us:

CID Fire and Security are a family run company based in Somerset, with 37 years experience in the Fire & Security business both in domestic and commercial settings. We are seeking an experienced Fire & Security engineer to join our team. Due to our continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity based in and around the Somerset area.

Fire and Security Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

Carrying out a variety of tasks such as: Installation, servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning on Fire alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder alarm systems Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to Work closely with other engineers and provide support and training to more junior members of the team Take part in a call out rota Covering Somerset and the surrounding areas
The work can be allocated around individual engineers personal strengths therefore full training will be provided where needed providing you are willing to learn and get involved in every aspect of the business

Fire and Security Engineer Skills and Experience:

You must have experience working in a similar role in the Fire and Security Industry Knowledge of Servicing and Remedial of the Fire and Security Industry Experienced in a range of disciplines (Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, & Intruder Alarms) Previous experience within all of these areas is preferred although not essential Somebody who has a passion for the trade and is a problem solver with excellent attention to detail IPAF, ECS, CSCS Cards would also be beneficial A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities Experience of Fire Extinguisher maintenance is beneficial
