Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of fire protection systems. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals in the construction and engineering fields. The Fire Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring safety standards are met and maintained across various projects.

Responsibilities

Design and develop fire protection systems in accordance with relevant codes and standards. Create detailed schematics and layouts using CAD software to illustrate system designs. Conduct site assessments to determine fire safety requirements and evaluate existing systems. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to integrate fire protection measures into building designs. Perform inspections and testing of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with regulations. Provide technical support during the construction phase, including troubleshooting issues that arise on-site. Maintain accurate documentation of designs, modifications, and inspections for future reference.

Skills

Proficient in system design principles related to fire protection engineering. Strong knowledge of CAD software for creating precise technical drawings. Mechanical knowledge to understand the operation of various fire protection equipment. Experience using hand tools and power tools relevant to installation and maintenance tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively for system implementation. Electrical experience is advantageous for integrating electrical components within fire systems. Familiarity with construction processes and regulations related to fire safety.
