As a Fire Engineer, you'll play a key role in the

design, installation, and maintenance

of fire protection systems. You'll work collaboratively with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure that every project meets the highest standards of

fire safety and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

Design and develop fire protection systems, including

sprinkler systems, alarms, and smoke control systems

. Use

CAD software

to create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for fire safety installations. Conduct

site assessments

to evaluate existing fire safety measures and recommend improvements.

Collaborate

with architects, contractors, and fellow engineers to integrate fire safety systems into building designs. Perform

inspections, testing, and commissioning

of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance. Provide

technical support

during installation, using both hand tools and power tools. Maintain accurate

documentation

of designs, modifications, and inspections for compliance and record-keeping.

Qualifications

Proven experience in

system design

, particularly within fire protection or related engineering fields (for experienced roles).

Proficiency in CAD software

for creating technical schematics. Strong

mechanical aptitude

and understanding of engineering principles. Familiarity with

hand tools and power tools

used in installation and construction.

Basic electrical knowledge

is advantageous -- especially for trainee roles. Good understanding of

construction practices and fire safety regulations
