Occupational profile

To install, maintain and repair fire and security systems in industrial and commercial environments, working in both indoor and outdoor settings. Engineers will need:

To work on your own proficiently and work without immediate supervision in the most efficient and economical manner. To contribute to the service team delivery of a compliant service. To contribute to the service team targets for services per day along Potential future requirements of call outs and call out rota. To be able to fully install and service a fire and security systems to British Standards, third party accreditation standards and company standards. On completion of work all systems must be safe to use and signed off to the applicable British Standard Accurately complete CRM application with task information.
Knowledge and Skills

Engineer will use engineering knowledge and understanding to apply their technical and practical skills. They will contribute to the operation and maintenance of products, equipment, processes, systems, or services. Engineers will:

Understand and apply the principles, practices, and legislation for the industry with ideally a L3 qualification and/or proven industry experience and knowledge. Understand and apply the principles, practices and legislation for the inspection, testing, commissioning and certification of fire and security systems and equipment in buildings, structures, and the environmental requirements to the relevant British Standards. Understand and apply the principles, practices, and legislation for diagnosing and correcting faults with fire and security systems and equipment in buildings, structures, and the environmental requirements Oversee and organise the work environment.
In all these activities, Engineers must understand and apply health and safety and environmental regulations, guidance notes and relevant codes of practice; and the requirements of the current edition of the British Standards/Codes of Practice.
