to oversee and manage fire door installation and maintenance projects from estimate to completion. This role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site responsibilities, requiring a good level of technical understanding, project coordination, and client communication. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of compliance and quality.
We are also open to junior candidates or individuals without prior experience who are motivated to enter the industry and build a long-term career in fire door project management. Full training and support will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating and Scope Development
Produce accurate estimates for fire door works using desktop software, based on internal fire door inspection reports.
Review third-party fire risk assessments and fire door surveys provided by clients to propose scopes of work and corresponding estimates.
Project Mobilisation
Convert approved estimates into structured projects, following company processes and procedures.
Prepare and coordinate RAMS, materials lists, scopes of work, and communication plans prior to commencement of works.
Project Delivery
Maintain regular daily communication with site teams, providing technical and logistical support to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor progress, resolve on-site issues, and adapt plans as necessary to keep projects on track.
Compliance and Handover
Compile and finalise project completion documentation, including fire door inspection reports, certification, product data sheets, and comprehensive handover packs.
Ensure all works comply with relevant fire door safety regulations and internal QA standards.
Client & Budget Management
Manage project budgets effectively, tracking costs against estimates and ensuring profitability.
Attend client meetings and site visits as required to review progress, address concerns, and maintain strong client relationships.
Key Skills & Experience
Experience in fire door installation or project management is preferred but
not essential
- training will be provided for junior candidates.
Strong understanding of fire door compliance, inspection requirements, and relevant legislation (e.g. BS 8214, BS 9999, Approved Document B) is advantageous.
Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools (training can be provided).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes simultaneously.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team.
Full UK driving licence (if site travel required).
