Fire Door Inspector / Surveyor

Hartland Fire have an immediate requirement for an experienced Fire Door Inspector / Surveyor to join their established team - working on projects throughout the UK. Hartland work on prestigious MOD, NHS and Government sites and as such, all staff are required to satisfy an enhanced DBS / screening process.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed fire door inspections and surveys in line with industry regulations (BS 8214, BM TRADA, etc.) Identify non-compliance issues and recommend appropriate remedial actions Prepare clear, accurate, and professional reports using digital reporting tools Communicate findings with clients and internal teams effectively Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire door regulations and standards

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally hold recognised Fire Door Inspection qualification (e.g., FDIS, BRE, BM TRADA, etc.) Proven experience as a Fire Door Inspector / Surveyor - Essential Strong knowledge of fire door standards, compliance requirements, and relevant legislation Excellent attention to detail Strong report writing and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage own schedule Good communication and customer service skills

Additional Requirements:

Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) Willingness to travel UK wide & stay away from home Right to work in the UK
