Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Installation Engineer to join the VOCA Fire Protection (VFP) operations and installations team. This role involves working on a diverse range of projects, including hotels, schools, retail outlets, and leisure facilities.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, approachable, and capable of working effectively as part of a team. They will welcome opportunities to work with innovative systems and products, demonstrate expertise across multiple disciplines, and maintain high standards in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation and maintenance (Essential Fire): Installing fire alarm systems according to site plans and specifications. Installation and Maintenance (knowledge of Intruder Alarms): Installing security systems according to site plans and specifications including wiring, mounting equipment and configuring systems. Thoroughly testing installed systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with relevant standards and codes of practice. Working on new projects and current client upgrades. Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently across various systems and disciplines. Must have experience in identifying and resolving issues with security systems. Communication: Clearing explaining system operation to customers, providing training (if applicable) and addressing any concerns. Documentation: Completing necessary paperwork such as site schematics, installation reports and timesheets. Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete projects on time and exceed client expectations. Leadership by Example: Set an exemplary standard of quality, professionalism, and conduct. Innovation: Embrace new technologies and system innovations to enhance performance and results. Integrity: Act responsibly and honestly, fostering trust and upholding the company's values. Liaising with Clients: Communicate with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates throughout the project. User Training: Provide basic training and support to clients on system operation. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback to ensure customer satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Expectations:

3+ years in fire systems 1+ year in the electronic security industry with good working knowledge of all systems Should be fully conversant in NSI standards Strong understanding of fire alarm systems (new installations and upgrades) Understanding of electronic security systems, including intruder alarms, access control and CCTV. Problem solving: ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively Attention to detail: thoroughness in installation, testing and documentation Valid drivers licence: essential Product knowledge: staying up to date with the latest security technologies and products Health and safety: following health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment for themselves, colleagues and customers Installations must be to high standard Complete detailed job reports Identify company improvements and voice your opinion 100% Punctuality Assist other team members when required
VFP Culture requirements:

Location:

Northwest occasionally you may be asked to travel further distance, and overnight stays are possibility however this is very limited and is down to the engineer's discretion.

Working hours:
Working hours are flexible due to the nature of the business, the candidate will be expected meet clients and scheduling requests.

Salary:
36,000+ depending on experience (plus overtime as required)

Day shift Monday to Friday Night shift Overtime
