Spectrum Fire Protection (UK) Ltd is a growing and dynamic company, committed to delivering high-quality fire protection solutions across the UK. We are currently looking for a dedicated Fire Protection Engineers to join our team.
As a Fire Protection Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, commissioning and repairing of a range of fire protection systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background who is well-versed in:
Fire detection and alarm systems
Emergency lighting systems
Suppression Systems
Your duties shall include, working across a range of nationwide sites, ensuring systems are compliant, operational, and meet the latest industry standards.

Spectrum Fire Protection (UK) Ltd, is an active and established Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) fire engineering company since 1989 and remains a family run business.
We design, install, manufacture, commission & maintain:
Fire Detection & Alarm Systems
Emergency Lighting
Fixed Fire Extinguishing Systems
Portable Fire Extinguishers
Fire Sprinkler Systems
Our current client base is diverse and includes Car Manufacturing Plants, Airports, Data Centres, Care Homes, Retail Facilities. Spectrum carries third-party certification under LPS1048 (Sprinklers), LPS 1204 (Fixed Gas Suppression), LPS 1014 (Fire Detection), BAFE SP101 (Fire Extinguishers).
Duties
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Maintenance & Repair of fire protection equipment in line with current standards and customer requirements.
Commissioning of fire and gas suppression systems
Responding to demand service calls on all types of fire systems, emergency lighting & equipment.
Participating in our on-call out rota.
Carry out fault finding on systems.
Completing job reports and paperwork to required standard.
Present a professional appearance.
Effective control of stock and vehicle maintenance.

What we are looking for:
Our ideal candidate has:
A full UK Driving License.
18th Edition or similar qualification
Electrical NVQ Level 3 or similar
EAL Level 3 NVQ in the requirements of fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings BS5839-1 preferred but not essential
Reliability
A proven track record for stability within their career history and have been in the industry for at least 5 years with a sound engineering background with experience maintenance and repair of fire systems or, electrical and mechanical systems.
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly approach.
The willingness to travel / overnight stays to suit the needs of our customer base.
Working on own initiative, applying a can-do, hands-on attitude.
Ability to work under pressure.
Understanding and knowledge of BS5839:1
Basic I.T skills
IPAF license preferred but not essential.
Asbestos Awareness course preferred but not essential.
A clear Enhanced DBS check is essential
Salary: Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
