Job Description

Main Areas of Responsibility:



To be responsible for scheduling all training sessions for staff and customers, on a timely basis Devise and deliver training to staff and customers Be responsible for the safety-critical aspect of training Deliver presentations of a high standard to staff and customers Ensure the validation of course participants Be responsible for upskilling your own knowledge to the latest industry standards Supporting the day's maintenance team when required with fire extinguishers, fire hydrant and BA preventative maintenance inspections, and maintaining the Agility database. Responsible for managing all stock items required to deliver the training Responsible for maintaining all training areas so items are safely secured when training is not taking place

Skills and Qualifications



Essential



Technical knowledge of portable fire equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus Understanding of working in a high-hazard area Ability to work to safe systems of work maintaining compliance with key legislation Experience in a similar role or working within the fire industry sector Experienced breathing apparatus wearer Excellent level of communication skills Good IT skills Good time manager with tenacity and ability to work under pressure A high concern for standards A high concern for detail Customer care relations Good team working skills Competent in the use of Microsoft Office IT packages Good numeracy and literacy skills Full clean driving licence Willing to work towards a face fit testing qualification if not already held

Desirable



Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent teaching qualification) Breathing apparatus instructor qualification or equivalent manufacturer training qualification Experience in servicing or repairing breathing apparatus

20.75 (set working days to be negotiated)

Annual Salary:

14,827.74 per annum
