Job Description

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is seeking applications from individuals for the role of Firefighter (Control) within the Service Control Room, based at Joint Fire Control, Bridgend.

The Role

Individuals should possess keyboard skills to operate a computerised command / control and mobilisation system within the Control Room.

The hours of duty will be 42 hours per week, consisting of 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts. The successful applicants will be required to complete an initial training course prior to commencing the above shift pattern.

Please note that you will be required to serve in the role for a minimum of two years and be deemed competent before you will be eligible to apply for a Wholetime Firefighter Vacancy within Mid and West Wales Fire Service.
