What's the Job?



We're looking for a talented First Aid Instructor to join the Skills Delivery team to deliver a range of SQA First Aid and NUCO Mental Health First qualifications on a Timesheet contract.

The Commercial Development and Delivery Team are responsible for delivering a variety of professional qualifications, including certificated and bespoke courses, in a College that aims to be one step ahead.

Who we're looking for



We're looking for First Aid Instructors with current, relevant qualifications and experience to be able to deliver a range of certificated first aid qualifications including,

SQA Award in Emergency First Aid at Work @SCQF level 6 SQA Award in First Aid at Work @SCQF Level 6 SQA Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid @SCQF Level 6 First Aid for Mental Health
You will be suitably qualified and experienced in providing a first aid service. Experience of delivering certificated courses would be an advantage but training will be provided.

To succeed in the role, you will have some or all of the following:

This role requires a current First Aid at Work Certificate or equivalent Experience of working in a first aid role is essential. Group Training Certificate is desirable Experience of delivering certificated courses is desirable Strong customer service/ organisation/ teamworking/ relationship building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. This post is required to be based on Campus Proficiency in digital skills relevant to the role, including experience using MS Office and any job-specific software/systems Adaptability to evolving digital opportunities and willingness to continuously improve digital competencies.

All staff are required to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) membership scheme, which is managed and delivered by Disclosure Scotland.
