We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic First Aid Lead to join our team at Cheadle Hulme High School. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring that students with ongoing medical needs are supported in school in line with their Individual Health Care Plans, administer approved medication to students and maintain records and reports, including those for statutory requirements.

You will play a vital role in enhancing students progress whilst promoting their independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. A comprehensive offer of professional learning is in place and we ensure that all schools have designated work spaces for staff. A broad range of training in SEND is in place across all our schools focused on whole school SEND issues as well as specific training for SEND teams.

This position is contracted on a

30 hours per week Term Time Only basis.

This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of

37 out of 52 weeks.



Job Purpose



Assess the medical and welfare needs of students and staff, and administer front-line First Aid. Assess First Aid problems presented by students and staff, taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency and communicating with staff and parents as necessary.

Key Skills and Experiences



Sound Educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A-C) or equivalent.
First Aid Certificate or willing to work towards and attain this qualification. Experience of First Aid.
