Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team at the Fish and Chip Shop. This role involves providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving high-quality fish and chips in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook fish and chips according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food items are prepared in a timely manner to meet customer demand. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and upselling additional items when appropriate. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management as needed. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.

Skills

Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions effectively. Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or culinary setting is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members. A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a friendly atmosphere in the shop.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 12.50-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week
