About the Role
We're looking for an
experienced and enthusiastic Fish Fryer
who can handle a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality food consistently. You'll play a vital role in keeping Paul's reputation strong by preparing, cooking, and serving our well-known dishes to the highest standard.
You'll work closely with the manager and the rest of the team to ensure smooth operations, excellent food quality, and great customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
Prepare fresh potatoes for our famous chippy chips.
Portion and prepare fish and other menu items.
Cook food to a high and consistent standard--especially our famous fish & chips.
Learn and follow our preparation methods, including:
How we prepare our batters
How we prepare our breaded fish
How to fry our signature products correctly
Maintain exceptional food quality, speed, and presentation.
Follow all food hygiene and safety procedures.
Keep your station clean, organised, and well-stocked.
Assist with stock control and ordering.
Take orders when required and support front-of-house during busy periods.
Contribute to a positive, hardworking, and supportive team environment.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Fish Fryer or Cook in a fast-paced kitchen.
Ability to thrive under pressure and stay calm during busy rushes.
A strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A willingness to learn and continue developing your skills.
Ability to work well within a team and follow instruction.
