Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled JR Flat Roofing Operative to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in flat roofing. As a JR Flat Roofing Operative, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in various roofing tasks while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Duties

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of flat roofing systems. Fabricate roofing materials as per project specifications. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete tasks. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. Perform heavy lifting as needed to transport materials and equipment. Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

Previous experience or training in carpentry is advantageous. Ability to weld and fabricate materials as required for roofing projects. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively. Understanding of how to read schematics and blueprints. Capability to plumb structures accurately during installations. Willingness to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
