The Role

We are looking for a proactive and highly flexible person to oversee the daily operations of our vehicle fleet and company assets. This is a hands-on role that requires availability, including being on-call for vehicle breakdowns and urgent issues.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and out-of-hours issues Deliver and collect vans from garages and operational sites Attend breakdowns across operational areas (Newport, Birmingham, Swansea) Manage MOTs, servicing schedules, and ensure vehicles are roadworthy Maintain insurance records and conduct regular driver licence checks Monitor vehicle cleanliness and address maintenance and damage reports Manage fuel cards and monitor driver budgets using spreadsheets Maintain a spreadsheet record for company assets including phones, computers, cleaning equipment (e.g., hoovers, buffers) Arrange repairs and maintenance for all cleaning equipment as needed, maintaining a spreadsheet record Maintain accurate records of keys distributed for vehicles and buildings Liaise with IT support for phone and tech-related issues

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in fleet management or a similar operational role Full UK driving licence (essential) Strong organisational and problem-solving skills IT literate, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets in excel Ability to work independently and respond quickly to urgent issues Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends on rare occasions only if it cannot wait until the next working day Good communication and record-keeping skills
