What we need
Excellent IT skills and competent in the use of a range of IT packages to include Microsoft Word and Excel
Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
Ability to work methodically and quickly
Outstanding time management and attention to detail
Self-motivated and proactive with a great work ethic
Willingness to undertake training programmes as deemed necessary by the Company
Keen to pursue personal development needs and maintain up to date knowledge
Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team
A full current UK driving licence and have had at least 6 months driving experience since passing your test
Due to the nature of our works, the Company requires all employees to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This will include a check against the Children's and Adults' Barred List. Given that client vetting requirements vary and change, you may be required to undergo a variety of vetting checks for our clients during your employment and this may result in further checks at intervals determined by the Company and in accordance with applicable regulations.

The Fleet and Facilities Assistant will support the Fleet and Facilities Department in the efficient management of company vehicles, plant, equipment, and stock control. This role involves assisting with a range of operational and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the fleet, stores, and yard.
Working closely with the Fleet and Facilities team, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of various projects, ensuring that all activities are completed accurately, on time, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include maintaining an organised and well-managed yard and stores area, supporting fleet management processes, and assisting with stock control and equipment allocation.
All work must be completed in full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, following company procedures, and maintaining a safe and professional working.
Responsibilities
Assisting the Fleet and Facilities Department with their day to day responsibilities.
Monitoring and maintaining the stores facility and yard area.
Stocktaking and plant/stock control.
PAT testing and completing vehicle/plant inspections.
Plant and stock picking ready for issue to jobs/sites.
Vehicle movements and cleaning.
Preparing vehicles when de-fleeting.
Waste control of on-site skips and waste storage bins.
Key holder for opening the facilities at the Gosberton Branch.
Support in movement of goods between depots in company van.
Updating and maintaining relevant cost spreadsheet.
Ordering and dealing with suppliers for plant and materials.
Provide support in terms of administrative upkeep and data input of department systems and processes.
Identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that we provide.
Ensure acceptable levels of customer care at all times.
Contribute to and attend meetings.
Provide cover for other associated staff during times of absence.
Regular use of our bespoke computer system and other software packages such as Word, Excel and Project.
Reasonable requests of additional tasks from the fleet and facilities team

Terms

This is a full time position and hours of work will be 39 hours per week. This will also involve daily travel and possible working away as deemed necessary for the needs of the business.
07:15hrs to 16:00hrs Monday to Thursday
07:15hrs to 15:00hrs Friday
