Job description:

- Plan, coordinate, and manage the delivery and return of rental equipment, including excavators, loaders, compressors, and other heavy machinery.

- Supervise the transport team and oversee route planning, driver scheduling, and

performance.

- Maintain fleet service standards and ensure compliance with transport legislation.

- Manage relationships with logistics providers and third-party haulage partners.

-Oversee maintenance scheduling, MOTs, and servicing to minimise equipment downtime.

- Monitor and report on transport and fleet, including utilisation rates, delivery times, andrepair costs.

- Ensure digital tracking systems and equipment hire platforms are updated and used effectively.

-Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

- Train and manage operations staff to maintain safety, accuracy, and professionalism in all fleet and transport-related activities.

- Liaise with sales and customer support teams to fulfil client bookings and meet service level expectations.

Skills and Qualifications required:

- Minimum 2 years of experience managing transport, logistics, or fleet operations, ideally in a heavy equipment or construction environment.

- Strong working knowledge of transport compliance, fleet maintenance, and safety standards.

- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and organisational skills.

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Pay: 45,000.00 per year
