Summary



We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently, which is essential to our mission of delivering top-notch service to our customers.

Fleet Engineer / Mechanic - Fuel Transport (Oilfast Ltd)

Location: Remote (Preferred start base Motherwell Head office) Salary: 40k, based on experience Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities



Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on Oilfast's fleet of HGVs and fuel tankers. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to ensure vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant. Work to DVSA, ADR, and company safety standards at all times. Maintain accurate service and compliance records. Support operational teams by ensuring downtime is minimised and repairs are completed efficiently. Assist with parts management and maintaining service van inventory.

Requirements



NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance / Mechanical Engineering. Proven experience working on HGVs or tanker vehicles (ADR experience desirable). Strong understanding of ADR regulations and vehicle inspection standards. Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 licence an advantage). Self-motivated, organised, and safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable



Safe Loading Pass qualified. Tank inspection engineer. Experience in repairing tanker service equipment, pumps & hose reels. ADR Licence. Drivers CPC Licence.
