Job Description

Clearly Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team on a flexible contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can thrive and develop essential skills.

All successful applicants will be subject to safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS check, which will be put on the update service.

Duties



Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, ensuring that each child's individual needs are met. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive community within the nursery. Observe and assess children's development, keeping accurate records of their progress and sharing this information with parents. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Communicate effectively with children, using appropriate language to encourage their verbal skills and confidence. Demonstrate leadership qualities by supporting less experienced staff members and contributing to team meetings.

Requirements



A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is essential. Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable. The successful candidates will have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or will be willing to undergo DBS checks. Have knowledge of Safeguarding, FGM and Prevent and have certificates to prove this, or will be willing to undergo training. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and positive attitude. A genuine passion for nurturing children's development and an understanding of their unique needs. You adhere and follow all policies and procedures set out by Clearly Education and our Early Years settings, including those that involve safeguarding children.
