We support children aged 10-18 who have experienced trauma, disrupted care, and loss. Whether stepping in at short notice, providing stability during change, or working regular hours, you'll play a key part in creating a calm, safe environment where young people can begin to heal and thrive.

What You'll Do

As a Bank Residential Childcare Practitioner, you'll provide consistency and quality care when it's needed most. Your calm, steady approach will guide young people through both everyday routines and moments of challenge.

Key responsibilities:



Build trusting, supportive relationships with young people Deliver personalised, trauma-informed care based on individual plans Facilitate therapeutic and recreational activities, including outdoor time Support with daily routines such as mealtimes, education, and bedtime Respond to emotional and behavioural needs with empathy and composure Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding requirements Work collaboratively with the core team to ensure consistent care
What You'll Bring

You'll be dependable, empathetic, and resilient--someone who understands that stability is built through trust and presence.

Essential:



Experience in residential childcare or similar care setting Confidence supporting children with complex needs and emotional challenges Strong safeguarding knowledge and trauma-informed practice Calm, compassionate communication skills Full UK driving licence Availability for 24.5-hour shifts (10:00am-11:00pm, sleep-in, then 7:00am-10:30am)
