Salary : 12.40 to 13.30 per hour



Sleep in Shift Supplement: 60 per shift

Haven Care Group are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team within a Children's Residential Home in the Hinckley area. This role is full time, with a requirement to work shifts on a

1 day on 2 day off pattern

, with a requirement to complete between 6-8 sleep in shifts every month.

To be successful as a Residential Support Worker with HCG, you will need to possess the following essential attributes:



A kind, caring and compassionate nature, with a fair but firm approach Formal or informal experience of supporting Young People who may live with a Learning Disability or are Neuro-Diverse. A recognised qualification in Residential Child Care at Level 3 / 4 or ability and willingness to work towards achieving within a set time frame Full UK Manual Driving Licence Ability to work shifts and sleep in the home overnight

As a Residential Support Worker you will be responsible for a range of duties as set out below:



Providing advice, assistance, and support to Young People, safeguarding their welfare at all times.

Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of young people

Attending to Young People's practical, physical, and emotional needs and acting as an appropriate role model.

Working closely with Young People to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential.

Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning etc)

Establishing positive relationships with young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regard

Helping young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behaviour and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.

Ensuring that each young person's care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs

Attending young people's meetings and contributing to them

Driving company vehicles (current driving licence holders subject to procedures)

Please note that you must be 21 years of age or above to apply due to children's homes regulations.



This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
