We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting. This role requires a nurturing personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and parents. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in the early development of children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and happiness.
Duties
Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, fostering children's development in all areas.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for children, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their development and reporting findings to senior staff.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, encouraging open communication and collaboration.
Support children during meal times, ensuring they receive nutritious food while promoting good eating habits.
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Experience
A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (such as NVQ Level 2 or 3) is essential/ proven experience in Early years
Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or similar setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of child development principles and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
A patient, caring attitude with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Ability to work flexibly as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
