We are looking for enthusiastic Youth Support Workers to work flexibly and cover sleep shifts in our Supported Accommodation service in Yeovil.
Gloucester Family Care offers an Ofsted registered Supported Accommodation service (16-18), which enables care experienced young people and care leavers to have a sense of belonging through community engagement, regular support and providing well maintained, high quality and homely accommodation.

We not only offer staff regular supervisions and mentoring with their senior team, we also invest in regular clinical supervisions with external mental health professionals. We also believe that Support Work and shift work can be flexible, we work really hard to accommodate individuals in our team.
Support Workers are expected to develop and enhance good working practice for themselves and consistently promote GFC's values, implement policies and ensure safeguarding children and young people is central to all practice.
For the role of Flexible Youth Support Worker hours of work will vary depending on the operational requirements of GFC and your availability. We are currently looking for someone to complete two sleeps per week in our service.
Job Details:
GFC operates on a 24-hour 7 days a week basis, you could be offered work / sleeps at any time.
You will be paid 13.33 per hour, plus extra payments for sleep shifts.
Current sleep shift rate 72 per night (May 2023)
You will report to the Registered Service Manager.

Desirable Skills
Willingness to undertake training and development deemed necessary for the development of the post.
Openness to learn and develop therapeutic practice.
An understanding of the legislation and guidance relating to the provision of Supported Accommodation services and social care for 16 -18 year olds and care leavers.
Awareness of Fire and Health and Safety Regulations.
