Duties

Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to food safety standards. Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment. Support catering operations by preparing food items for events and assisting with setup and service. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all aspects of cafe operations.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant environment is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with hospitality practices. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential. Experience as a barista or in catering services is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers and colleagues alike. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills within the cafe setting.
