Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe.

Duties

Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Support catering events by preparing food and beverages, setting up, and assisting during service. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintaining hygiene standards throughout the cafe. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Handle cash transactions accurately and assist with inventory management as required. Provide barista services, preparing coffee and other beverages to customer specifications.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred, showcasing your ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. Strong hospitality skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in catering is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure compliance with health regulations. Barista experience is desirable, particularly in crafting specialty coffee drinks. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in food preparation and service. Pay: 12.21-15.18 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 32 per week
