Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work efficiently to deliver high-quality results. The Flooring Installer will play a vital part in transforming spaces through expert craftsmanship and precision.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and ensuring they are suitable for flooring installation Measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools Install various types of flooring such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, or tiles in accordance with schematics and specifications Use carpentry skills to modify subflooring or underlying structures as needed Apply adhesives, sealants, or finishes to secure flooring and ensure durability Follow safety protocols when handling construction tools and equipment Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met within designated timelines Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment used during installation

Skills

Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or flooring installation Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, and hammers Familiarity with power tools including drills, sanders, and tile cutters Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately Knowledge of construction painting techniques is advantageous but not essential Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and precision Excellent problem-solving abilities to adapt to on-site challenges Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in confined spaces

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 15.66-18.00 per hour
