Job Description

We're looking for a

creative, passionate, and reliable Florist / Floral Designer

to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a background in floral design and a flair for creating beautiful, eye-catching arrangements for all occasions. You'll be part of a friendly, fast-paced studio environment where creativity, attention to detail, and great customer service are key.

Key Responsibilities



Design and create floral arrangements, bouquets, and bespoke pieces for weddings, funerals, events, and everyday occasions. Provide friendly, professional customer service in-store, over the phone, and online--offering advice and recommendations to suit each customer's needs and budget. Present customers with costing options to encourage and ensure satisfaction. Condition, care for, and maintain flowers and plants to ensure freshness, quality, and longevity. Keep the studio floor, displays, and work areas tidy, creative, and inviting--ensuring all surfaces and tools are cleaned and sanitised regularly. Process sales transactions accurately and manage associated paperwork. Support stock management. Conditioning and maintence of fresh flower stock. Assist with deliveries and event setups as required. Uphold all health and safety standards in the studio and on-site.

Essential Skills & Qualities



Proven experience as a florist or strong practical background in floristry (formal training/ desirable but not essential Creative flair with an excellent eye for colour, design, and detail. Solid knowledge of flowers, plants, and proper care/conditioning techniques. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure--especially during peak times like Valentine's, Mother's Day, Christmas, and wedding season. A positive team player with a can-do attitude. Reliable, flexible, and well-organised, with good time management skills.

Desirable



Floristry qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent). Full driving licence (for deliveries and event setups). Retail experience in a customer-facing environment. Social media skills to support marketing and promotions.

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 37 per week
