Group is currently seeking an efficient

Flow Survey Supervisor

to join our operations team, looking after projects related to wastewater networks, based in

Clevedon

. This role is part office and part site based and will be leading our surveying teams in wastewater operations. This is an interesting and rewarding role that would suit someone who has an interest in the environment. The starting salary for this role is negotiable and will include extensive benefits.


About The Team:




The RPS Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) team provides industry leading services to the UK Water Industry and our employees are involved in services supporting Water Networks, Drainage, Surveying, Leakage Consultancy, Water Resources and Efficiency. The team analyse complex data and provide pragmatic solutions. This includes reducing water leakage and preventing flooding and pollution in local communities.


Our Wastewater Operations teams are a collection of 3-person site survey crews that support the regional water companies by gathering data from both above and below-ground wastewater assets. These assets can include reservoirs, dams, highways, and water treatment plants.


About You:




As a key member of the Asset, Surveying, and Inspection (AS&I) business, your role as

Flow Survey Supervisor

is critical to our strategic priorities - to deliver great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. Whether you are just starting out or taking the next step in your career, this position provides an opportunity for you to progress with RPS.


You will need to work flexibly, working weekends, evenings and overtime if required. Be willing to travel to different locations. It is essential that you enjoy working outdoors, as come rain or shine, you will mostly be outside.


Your Responsibilities:




You will travel throughout the UK to supervise and coordinate flow survey activities on site as well as ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to. You will be responsible for the training and supervision of site staff throughout the UK. You will also be required to carry out Site Based Workplace Inspections and audits, ensuring that our field staff are kept safe and well equipped to perform their duties.


You will help to identify risks and opportunities, monitor project progress, and maintain project documentation and record keeping. You will be required to perform tasks and duties assigned by the Project Manager to include risk assessments and method statements and liaise with Project manager and clients to meet deadlines and specifications.


Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:




Previous experience in a similar role

Strong leadership and team management skills

A strong understanding of sewer networks is beneficial

Good IT skills

Good attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly efficient, organised with excellent problem-solving skills

A flexible approach and reliable

Able to work quickly and accurately

Approachable with great interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise at all levels in a professional manner

Able to use initiative and work unsupervised

Qualifications:




Must have a full UK driving License

Health and Safety:




This role may involve:


Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers.


Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also).


You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways.
