ABOUT US:

MHT Foods is a successful, market leading, fine food wholesaler and manufacturer offering the independent retailer a fantastic choice of over 2,000 high quality, premium preserves, chutneys, cakes, biscuits, hampers, and confectionery.

We operate across three sites: two manufacturing facilities and one warehouse. Our on-site bakery specialises in small batch production, hand-finishing a comprehensive range of popular loaf cakes, slab cakes, and tray bakes. At our preserving facility, we create a fabulous range of preserves, marmalades, curds, pickles, and chutneys.

JOB TITLE

: Flow Wrapper Operator / Setter

REPORTING TO

: Production manager

HOURS

: 9:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to Friday

PERSONNEL RESPONSIBLE FOR

: Operating Flow wrap machine

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

: To ensure baked goods are packed to the company's specifications in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:

Ensuring the quality of all goods packed are of a high standard to the company and customer specification. To work with your manager to ensure all breaks, holidays and sickness absences are covered to ensure the lines still achieve the production plan and customer demand to a high standard. Communicate effectively any stoppages, downtime or issue with the line to the shift supervisor/production manager to ensure any fault to the line is resolved quickly. Effectively communicate with production, warehousing, technical, engineering, opposite shift and other managers always promoting teamwork to ensure the smooth running of the shift. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately in line with the company procedures. Adhere to the company health and safety standards, food safety standards and PPE policies. Support the shift supervisor performing accident and incident investigation Operate and routine maintenance on flow wrap machines Proactively work on any continuous improvements, actively listen and engage your team members to recognise and create ideas/suggestions in how we can improve to business/work environment.

KEY SKILLS

Mechanically minded Positive and proactive approach. Very good communicator able to communicate across all levels A good team player and motivator, leading by example.

Food Safety, H&S, SALSA

Address Food Safety, H&S, SALSA concerns in a timely manner and proactively address issues. Ensure highest levels of cleanliness, including clean as you go and deep cleaning Management of food safety systems, maintaining and improving standards
