Trademaster are currently recruiting for FLT Counterbalance Drivers to work for a aggregates and garden distribution company in Armthorpe

Will be working with dispatch and loading team - goods coming in and then orders to be dispatched

Shift Pattern is : Monday to Friday Days

Monday to Thursday 6am till 4.30pm / Friday 6am till 2pm . Peak periods longer shifts availlable & Saturday is paid at time & half .

Counterbalance license must be in date and not a inhouse certificate

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, ensuring proper handling of materials Assist with warehouse management system entries to track inventory movements accurately Conduct routine equipment repairs or notify maintenance for repairs needed on vehicles or handling equipment Handle materials efficiently, including stacking, organising, and transporting items within the warehouse or loading areas Support shipping & receiving processes by preparing consignments, verifying deliveries, and maintaining accurate documentation Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle and work area to ensure safety standards are met

Qualifications

Proven experience in warehouse management system utilisation and materials handling procedures Experience operating forklifts Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on a daily basis Good understanding of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse environment Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and record accuracy Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
