Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable FLT Counterbalance Driver to join our team. This position involves operating forklift equipment to move, load, and unload materials within a warehouse or distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial driving and forklift operation, demonstrating safety consciousness and efficiency in handling various types of cargo. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting that values safety, precision, and teamwork.

Monday-Friday 8AM-4:30PM - 13/h

Responsibilities

Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility Move pallets, crates, and other heavy items using pallet jacks and forklift equipment Assist with inventory management by organizing stock and ensuring accurate placement of goods Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs Support warehouse operations by helping with manual loading and unloading tasks as needed Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Communicate effectively with team members regarding material movements and operational updates

Requirements

Proven experience operating forklift equipment, particularly counterbalance forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or relevant certification for forklift operation Knowledge of mechanical systems related to forklifts and other heavy equipment such as dump trucks, tractor-trailers, or heavy haul vehicles is a plus Experience with load & unload procedures, route driving, or shuttle driving preferred Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks involving moving cargo or equipment Prior experience with warehouse operations, freight handling, or heavy equipment operation is advantageous
