We are the UK's leading manufacturer of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), operating from a purpose built factory in Bradford, West Yorkshire. With over 30 years experience of supplying EPS for packaging, insulation and construction applications, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and services provided to our customers.

Job Summary:
We are seeking 2 reliable and experienced FLT counterbalance drivers to join our team working on the afternoon shift of 2pm until 10pm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and proficient use of the forklift in lifting, moving and transportation of goods within our warehouse department. You should have a strong understanding of materials handling, and forklift operation.

Starting salary is 12.50 per hour with overtime paid at time and a half for hours worked over 40 hours per week.

Duties:

To safely transport goods and materials to designated locations

To operate other mechanical devices and/or other controls that operate lifting devices

To inspect products to be moved for accuracy, and safely move them to designated areas

To place the forklift and other lifting tools over, under, or around loaded boxes, pallets, machinery etc

To ensure that materials loaded on to vehicles correctly to be transported are secure

To observe and comply with quality, environment, health, and safety procedures

To ensure that the products are properly and safely stacked

To carry out routine quality checks on the forklift and other devices

To use radio frequency equipment to keep in touch with other staff

To manually handle goods when necessary

To stack goods and move them around in storage bays

To identify damages or quality deficiencies and inform line management

Skills:

Proficient in materials handling techniques

Experience working in a warehouse environment

Capable of loading and unloading cargo efficiently

Basic math skills for inventory tracking

Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely

Requirements:

Proven experience as an FLT counterbalance driver

Valid certificate to operate forklifts

Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively

Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients

Physical stamina for handling heavy items
