Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Counter-balance Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to handle various materials.

Duties

Load and unload materials, utilising appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including shipping and receiving documentation. Perform routine inspections on vehicles and equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road and in the warehouse. Assist with warehouse management tasks, including inventory control and organisation of stock.

Skills

Proficient in using a Warehouse Management System for tracking inventory and shipments. Experience with equipment repair and maintenance to ensure operational efficiency. Strong materials handling skills, including knowledge of safe lifting techniques for heavy items. Valid Forklift licence is preferred, with experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting. Previous warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding operational workflows. Ability to load and unload goods efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with vehicles or equipment as they arise.
