Level 3 Qualified

Nursery Practitioners to join the Funky Footsteps Team, working

TERM-TIME

within our Flying Start Settings

You will work as part of a multi-agency team alongside dietetics, Health Visitors, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Advisory Teachers, the Parenting Team, and our inclusion team to ensure every child in our care is provided with every opportunity to reach their full potential.

As a Flying Start setting, you will be given the most up-to-date training to include mandatory training; First Aid, Child Protection, Behaviour Management, and an extensive program in line with professional development to include wellbeing, yoga, Makaton, Wellcomm, team building and many more.

The sucsessful candidate will:

Hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare and have previous experience in a nursery environment. Work between 24 - 32.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, term time.

Job Duties Summary:

Be a positive role model for all children, encouraging individual children through praise and scaffolding. Delivering the topics and program of learning, ensuring differentiation for individual children. Observe and record the children's progress using company documentation. Complete daily records of activities and routines for all children and report progress to parents/carers. Develop good communications with parents/carers ensuring that they are greeted on arrival and departure. Attend all stay & play sessions. Monitor the health and well-being of children. Where appropriate, participate as a key worker and be responsible for a specific group of children or a child during the settling-in sessions. Assist in creating a stimulating and attractive environment for the children. Always maintain confidentiality. Oversee the maintenance of equipment and toys and report any problems to the Deputy Setting Leader. Ensure all letters and information are passed on to the parents/carers daily. Participate in the use of the Famly app as the main platform of communication with our parents and families.
