About the Role

Dalkia UK is seeking a skilled and commercially astute

Estimator

to join our Facilities Services division. This is a key role responsible for managing and delivering tender and estimating opportunities across M&E Lifecycle, Sustainability Projects, Contract Variations, and new business. You'll play a pivotal part in ensuring pricing accuracy, commercial certainty, and compliance with contracting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and submission of tenders, budgets, and quotations across Facilities business units. Conduct site surveys and manage projects from initial enquiry to final submission. Collaborate with internal teams to interpret technical information and develop accurate pricing strategies. Engage with clients and stakeholders professionally and promptly. Develop tender strategies in partnership with commercial, bid, and operational teams. Source competitive pricing from supply chain partners and ensure alignment with budgetary goals. Produce commercial bids for approval by the Commercial Review Board (CRB). Identify and mitigate contractual risks and negotiate terms with clients. Ensure compliance with job costing, margin expectations, and contracting standards. Liaise with departments including Bid, Design, Finance, HR, and Procurement. Generate reports for senior management and contribute to continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Based in the

Central Belt of Scotland

. Strong written, verbal, and IT communication skills. Proven problem-solving ability and commercial awareness. Experience in Facilities Services and Maintenance estimating. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS applications. HND in Construction, Building Services, or equivalent. Experience pricing sustainability/green project works. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
