Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome. Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Serve food and beverages with attention to detail, ensuring presentation meets our standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, chairs, and service stations. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally, striving to resolve issues promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and communication regarding orders. Perform basic math calculations for billing purposes and manage transactions accurately.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively. Ability to engage with guests warmly, providing outstanding guest services. Experience in serving and upselling menu items is beneficial. Basic math skills for handling payments and managing bills accurately. Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, enhancing understanding of food preparation processes.
